AMAGODI, SHONA MINIATURE

“Amagodi” is a Shona word which is used widely in Southern Africa to refers to Bantu knots in particular and African women’s hairstyles in general. This is the most universal hairstyle on the continent of Africa, although its exact origins are unknown. Its name varies from group to group and region to region.
